A CALL FOR RESPECTFUL DISCUSSION

THE VALUE OF OPEN-MINDEDNESS

Writing helps me overcome overthinking. Today I will write on politics, clarifying my thoughts and gaining control. Sharing my perspectives sparks important discussions and connections. Writing is a valuable way to process my thoughts and contribute to meaningful conversations

In colleges, students tend to avoid discussing politics because they fear minor disagreements with their friends who support different political parties. However, they should engage in political discussions in a respectful manner, sharing their thoughts logically and without taking offense. By doing so, they can convince each other and become aware of the actions and shortcomings of both the party they support and the opposition.

This will help them understand the implementation issues of their party's schemes and those of other parties, and gain a better understanding of what's happening at the grassroots level. Politics also impacts the lives of students, so they should be aware of how it affects them, whether positively or negatively.

I feel frustrated thinking that politicians exploit religious differences to gain votes, fueling civil wars between different religious communities. They prioritize power over unity and understanding. Not all politicians are bad, even in a party that engages in such tactics. However, they may feel powerless to act against their party's interests, as most people share the same mindset, which is why it's called a party.

I've been thinking that educated individuals who aren't superstitious, particularly those in the sports and film industries, are more open to new ideas and unique perspectives they've never considered before. Even if they don't initially agree, they're willing to engage with their emotions and learn about others. However, religious individuals often refuse to consider new ideas and instead cling to their beliefs, disregarding others' feelings and hurting them with insensitive statements, especially when it comes to issues like the LGBTQ+ community.

Everyone has the right to express themselves and live authentically, without fear of judgment or coercion. Forcing someone to conform to societal expectations or beliefs can be incredibly harmful to their mental health and well-being. It's essential to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can feel safe to be themselves, without fear of criticism or rejection.

The constant struggle to conform can lead to intense inner turmoil, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. Why don't older politicians understand this? Instead of supporting their voters, they mock and dismiss their concerns. The voters are willing to engage, but the politicians fail to comprehend their perspectives.

Let's strive to promote acceptance, understanding, and empathy, and remember that everyone has the right to live their truth without fear of judgment or harm. By doing so, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive society that values diversity and promotes mental well-being.
